Explain your service
  • What we’re gunna do for you is a 2 year plan where we treat your home about every 6 weeks during the summer months when the bugs are most active, and then about every 90 days during the cooler months so we can keep that preventive barrier up. 
  • Each time we come out, we start by inspecting and treating the entire yard. That gives you a really good barrier between your home and where those (pest type) are coming from. Next, we’ll treat around the foundation, to make sure nothing’s getting through the cracks and crevices. We’ll even knock down all the spiderwebs and wasp nests up in the eaves and window sills, so nothing is harboring up there, and then, of course, we’ll treat inside and in the garage whenever you’d like. So it’s a full service – inside, outside, and in the yard.
  • As far as the price – Normally we charge $399 for the initial service and (area recurring rate card price) for each service after that– However, we do have a (season) discount going on, so I can actually discount that first service down to just (initial target price), and that’s still for everything! Now the first two treatments we do are about a month apart to break up the egg cycles of (the bugs). After that, you’ll just see us on that normal schedule, and of course, if you ever need us more often we’ll come back and retreat for no additional charge, okay?

Prospect says “I’m shopping around”

I understand. That just shows me that you’re a smart consumer, and I can appreciate that because so am I. You know it’s my job to know my competition, and one thing is certain: the harder you look around at other companies, the better my company will look. I’ll tell you what: If you can be here tomorrow, I’ll go ahead and drop that initial service price by another $50, and you won’t have to waste any more time looking around. What time tomorrow works best for you?

Prospect says “Let me speak to my spouse”

Sure, I understand. Look {FirstName}, it’s our busy season and I’m sure you want to get rid of these bugs sooner rather than later. It sounds like you and your spouse have spoken about getting pest control and the job just kind of fell on you to find a company (chuckle). But that shows me your spouse is serious about this and they trust you. Now I’ll tell you, you’ve found one of the best companies and if we can get you on the schedule right now I’ll take another $50 off the initial service. You can cross this off your to-do list and your spouse will love that you talked me down to a lower price (chuckle)! What time tomorrow works best for you?

Prospect says “That’s too expensive”

“We might cost an extra $10 per month, but in the pest control industry, you get what you pay for. After all, you don’t want to pay $10 less and still have issues, right? I definitely understand wanting to stay within a budget, so I’m gunna give you an extra $10 off each service to save you some money. All in all, I’m sure you won’t find a better deal for the amount of service you’re getting. I have some openings tomorrow, let’s get out there and take care of those (pest type) for ya. 

 

Prospect says “I just want a one-time service”

I hear ya. We don’t even offer one-time services cuz they just don’t work. Other companies love them cuz it’s a great profit margin, but we want to give you a lasting solution. Look, I’ll help you out a little and take $10 off each regular service. Of course, we need you home for that first service, what’s your schedule look like for tomorrow?

If customer asks if we take credit card: Yea we do, we just really prefer the checking account so we don’t have to pay the credit card fees. But we don’t pass the fees along to you or anything

When my service pro comes out he’ll go over the agreement with you, including your right of rescission, and he’ll be able to answer any questions you might have.
